GBBC, Yankton County 2/14/09

Geese, Redheads: If I count right around 65 geese in this picture, I may have guessed low on total number of geese:

Bald Eagle, I wanted it to look at me, but it had other ideas:

And decided to take off:

Not a very good picture, but look at how big the talons are!

Red-tailed hawk taking off:

Rough-legged hawk

I think this is another Rough-legged Hawk, but the coloring is different.

These are incredible photos, Deb!
The rough-legged hawk on the utility pole, with the wiring and cable hooks, is really a crafty and artistic photo! The Eagle taking off with the awesome talons, looks almost like one of those big kite-glider type things - coming in for a landing! And the Eastern Meadowlark, I hope it sang for you, one very soulful and Spring-reminder type of sound.
Bravo! xoxo ☺

I love your pictures and yes in case you didn't read it on the Blog I do think you are crazy...especially about birds. They are awesome and so many colors sizes varieties etc etc. endless beauty all around us. Oh and I caught your water for the birds in the winter comment a long time ago. I have a heated birdbath too. I so enjoy the birds.!!!!
